Home Sweet Home

I never thought I would be typing this so soon after our move to Charlotte last April, but we are moving back home to Alabama! The Lord works in mysterious ways, but we've trusted and put our faith in Him every step of the way over the past 12 months and I feel like our little family has been rewarded beyond measure.

I won't bore with details, but an opportunity arose for Ryan to work for his company at one of their retirement homes in Birmingham so we are moving soon and he starts in just a few short weeks. We are both pumped because while we did live in Birmingham before, Ryan was still commuting over 2 hours a day to work up in Hanceville. This time around, he will be working just a few minutes away from home so he will have plenty of time to spend with me and Ryder.

Of course we never make any big decisions without running it by The Boss first. So we asked him what he thought about things.

He pondered them...

Then decided he really wants to live near his Mimi and Aunt Molly so the packing began this weekend.

Boss #2 is also pleased with the news. Charlie just turned 6 years old and is enjoying being a big brother.

Please say a quick prayer for our nerves. In the words of Kim from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, "There is nothing more stressful in life than having a baby & moving." Ryder is only 6 weeks at the moment and it kills me to spend time packing boxes instead of snuggling with him on the couch. I am determined to be Supermom and somehow make time for all of it. The last move was in the middle of tax season, so what's a move across several hundred miles without a little drama??
